A diagnosis of cancer is a life-changing experience, often requiring new ways of living. Fortunately, Wenatchee Washington is a regional hub for many resources to help meet new needs. Know Your Cancer
There are several ways to gather information about your diagnosis. At Wellness Place there is a library containing books about cancer, about how to deal with cancer, and internet access with in-office assistance.

Find Support
At Wellness Place you will find volunteers, many of whom have had cancer, available to provide support to you and your family, including:
- Cancer survivors who will help you find information, discuss your situation, help define your questions and find your answers.
- Support groups facilitated by experts located both at Wellness Place and throughout the community.
- Community programs listings and monthly interest programs at Wellness Place.
- Library books, magazines, videos and tapes to support you in your journey back to health and wellness.
- Exercise classes for patients in active treatment or recovery.
Medical Support

Volunteer Dietitian Consultants
Specialists and diet recommendations are available to deal with:
- Loss of appetite
- Changing diet needs
- Tolerance and taste change
Resource Materials on Alternative-care Settings
There may be some need for care services and there are several options depending on need, such as:

Appearance Aids
Treatments may cause some changes in appearance, temporary or permanent.
- Wigs and head coverings are available at several places, as are clothing alterations.
- Prosthetic devises are available from several sources.
