Planning A CME/CNE Program

Overview

A complete application along with the appropriate disclosure forms must be received by the NCWRHF CME Committee before consideration and approval of the event may take place. Please allow at least six weeks from the time you submit your CME application to the date of your planned event for the approval process. The Event Sponsor will be notified when the RHF CME Committee will meet and should have a representative available to present your proposal.

I -- Applicants are responsible for:

  1. Determining the need that is being met and clarifying the sources used that demonstrated the need;
  2. Identifying the target audience;
  3. Clarifying how the need links to the desired result of the program
  4. Formulating the purpose and objectives for the proposed program;
  5. Drafting an agenda
  6. Selecting the faculty
  7. Selecting the location and date.
  8. Ensuring completion of the disclosure forms by all planning team members and faculty for the event;
  9. Resolving conflicts of interest; and
  10. Completing and presenting the CME Application Form and CME Financial Disclosure Forms to the CME Committee for approval.

II -- The NCWRHF CME Coordinator is responsible for:

  1. Communicating all NCWRHF CME policies and procedures to the Planning Team.
  2. Serving as liaison between the NCWRHF Board and CME Committee, and the Event Planning Team and/or the Planning Team Representative.
  3. Issuing CME credit certificates to attendees based on approved per credit hours earned.
  4. Retaining program records for six years.
