About Us
In November 2007, the NCWRHF Board hired Allen Dietz as our new Executive Director/CME Coordinator. We were fortunate to find someone with great skills, lots of related experience and a desire to fulfill our mission. Mr. Dietz has extensive experience in non-profit management and local and state government service.
For the past seven years he has been an independent consultant in Wenatchee specializing in program management, program evaluation, performance measurement, and leadership training, with a special focus on National Service programs. He has been a consultant with Project STAR (JBS International) on performance measurement and evaluation issues, is a national VISTA trainer, and has extensive experience working with AmeriCorps, VISTA, and Senior Corps programs throughout the country. Mr. Dietz was Director of Training, Planning, and Evaluation with the Texas Commission on Volunteerism for three years, and directed a large statewide AmeriCorps program in Texas for four years.
Mr. Dietz has a broad background in fund raising and proposal writing for non-profit organizations, and has been actively involved in training health and human service professionals for more than 25 years.
The North Central Washington Rural Health Foundation develops and supports programs that enhance the health of residents in the Wenatchee, Washington region. Founded in 1998 as the Wenatchee Valley Clinic Foundation, it later became North Central Washington Rural Health Foundation.
Our vision is to be the leader in developing and supporting community based programs to become the healthiest region in the Northwest.
NCWRHF's current roster of programs includes Wellness Place, targeted to serve cancer patients; Be Fit Be Well, which encourages physical fitness and health; and Continuing Medical Education, which brings continuing education classes to the community's medical providers.
The Foundation believes that:
- All people have a right to participate in our programs.
- Participants in our programs will have a beneficial experience.
- Fostering individual empowerment will improve one’s health.
- We will maintain integrity in all of our programs.
- Collaboration with like-minded groups is valuable.
- Responsible decisions to sustain the human and financial resources of the organization are essential.
- An independent organization is necessary to identify, assess and support non-competitive viable healthcare programs.
